| Genie's 2001 CD single "Little Green Men". |
Genie is a Traditional Bubblegum dance project who released a single titled "Little Green Men" in 2001. The single included a radio version of "Little Green Men" and a bonus song "Pop It Up."
"Little Green Men", a song about aliens, was reasonably popular, though Genie did not release any further material. Little Green Men was included on 2001's compilation "Absolute Kidz 2", track number 18.
"Little Green Men" was also covered by Candy on Viva Cartoons which was released in 1999. Whether or not Candy's version "Little Green man" was the original, however, is unknown. Both versions are very similar, apart from some changes in production and a different vocalist.

BGD Single Review
Below is a track-by-track single review of Little Green Men by Genie.
Little Green Men - 9/10
This is a very good song with excellent production and strong vocals. The song flows well and it is easy to listen to the whole track, without changing it halfway through due to bordom. There are some neat sound effects, including the alien's squeaking, and the synths that are used throughout the song. The high-pitched 'baby doll' like vocals and silly lyrics make this song a fun traditional bubblegum song that should not be missed.
Pop It Up - 7.5/10
"Pop It Up" has a more dramatic sound than Little Green Men. However, the song is unbelieveably catchy, and you'll find yourself with the chorus stuck in your head for hours after listening to this song. The 'graty' male vocals remind me of the music from Rocky Horror Picture Show, but don't let that put you off. Pop it Up is a good song, and a great bonus addition to the Little Green Men single.
