My First Album
When she was around 20 years old, Anna was signed up to Polydor Records in the UK to do a record. When she came into the studio, she always brought along a bag of lollies, and therefore that is how she got her name, "Lolly". Her producers at the time, "The Dufflebag Boys" showed her a number of possible songs that she could sing. When Anna heard "Viva La Radio" she knew it was going to be a hit. Excited, she began recording immediately.

When the single first came out it reached Number 6 in the English charts, something that was quite difficult to do. Anna was very happy with this, as were her producers, and she returned to the studio to record more material, and an album. In September 1999 she released her second single "Mickey", a cover of a 1982 hit recorded by singer and choreographer Toni Basil. The song hit the charts at number 10. She then went on to record her debut album, "My First Album", with producers the Duffelbag Boys, which was released later that year. After the album release, Lolly released a special single which contained two songs, ""Big Boys Don't Cry" and "Rockin' Robin". The second song Rockin' Robin was first released by the Jackson Five in the early 1960s.

New Producers, 2nd Album
After this single, Lolly left the Dufflebag Boys and signed up with two new producers, "Rose and Foster", who had worked with artists such as Celine Dion. The first single she made with them was "Per Sempre Amore" meaning in English "Forever In Love" which was released in April 2000. Lolly had hoped they would shoot the video on the beach, but instead they shot it in a bowling alley, which Lolly later admitted was quite disappointing.

In August 2000 Lolly returned with a cover of Cyndi Lauper's famous "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". Lolly's version reached the Top 20, a bit of a dissapointment from their earlier successes. Two weeks later, Lolly released her second album called "Pick 'n' Mix" in early September 2000. The album got its name because of all the different music styles included on the album. The cover featured Lolly swimming in a pool of candy.
