Doolittle
Doolittle is the name of a bubblegum dance project from Scandinavia. The project is best known for the song "Birdie" which appeared on the dance game In The Groove 2 (ITG 2).
Background
The project "Doolittle" was created by a group of producers and song writers from Scandinavia. Numerous songs were recorded and published as demos to the House of Scandinavia Web site, giving current artists an opportunity to buy the demos and use them in their already established projects.
The project "Doolittle" recorded numerous songs during the early 90s, their most famous being "Birdie" which was a song about a pet bird. Kyle Ward acquired the rights to use the song in the dance game In The Groove 2, and the song became one of the most popular tunes in the In The Groove series.
Doolittle also recorded demos for two more songs, "My Number One" and "Supersonic Hero." Neither of the songs were released, though they were proposed to be used in either the Miss Papaya or Bambee/project/">Bambee projects.
Writers & Production
The writers and producers behind the Doolittle project are kept secret, however we can take an educated guess and say that Linnea Handberg and Honeycutt were highly involved in the project.
Many of the Doolittle demos sound very similar to the music written and produced by Linnea Handberg and Honeycutt, particularly the demos released under Linnea's alias "Lynn." One of Lynn's songs, "Hello" uses the same melody and production as "Supersonic Hero," except the lyrics and vocals are different. One can therefore probably assume that both Linnea and Honeycutt had a big hand in the Doolittle project.
