Banaroo Splits Up… Again

After an interesting run during 2013 with two new singles “Dubi Dam Dam 2013” and “Space Cowboy 2013”, as well as a brand new fifth studio album titled “Bubblegum World”, Banaroo has unfortunately disbanded again for a second time.

The official announcement of the split came on November 6th, 2013 from former Banaroo member Laura Luppino. She posted this regarding the rumors of a split (translated loosely with Google Translate):

“Love Banaroo fans
Some have wondered why on Banaroo side not so much happening. I regret to inform you that Banaroo has dissolved. Each of us has different ideas about its future, so that further cooperation was no longer possible. From my side I can assure you, I will still be there for you and keep making music, whether it is musical, pop or whatever else is now. I hope you are not sad and that I can still hope for your great support. your Laura”

Unfortunately for the fans, it appears the rumors of a split turned out to be true. Though the possibility of finding new members for the group hasn’t been completely ruled out by the management. The rumors began after the official Banaroo fanpage on Facebook went offline for some time and former member Doro Farkas announced that she was going in a new direction with her music. We have contacted the manager for further details. We will post more when we have further updates.

For now, we would like to thank Banaroo and its management for the new music this year and we want to wish Doro, Laura, Alvin and Daniel all the best for their future careers!

Banaroo's new album and single

Banaroo has recently been making their way back to the spotlight. As well as launching their new line-up in March, Banaroo officially goes on the Toggo 2013 tour on May 11th and will be premiering the new songs from their upcoming album there.

The new album, titled "Bubblegum World", will include a mixture of past Banaroo hits, Bubblegum dance covers, and even some brand new songs that will warm the hearts of any Bubblegum lovers. The album is basically a tribute to the Bubblegum dance music world and is sure to bring much needed attention back to Bubblegum music and Banaroo themselves! Also, as of May 10th, the tracklist is available at Amazon.de and fans can now pre-order both the new album and the upcoming new single.

The new single will be a remake of Banaroo's hit single from 2005 called "Dubi Dam Dam", renamed as "Dubi Dam Dam 2013", and will be released on May 17th. Banaroo's fifth studio album, titled "Bubblegum World", is set to release shortly after, set for a release date on June 7th.

Banaroo's 2013 Return

Banaroo has recently announced a comeback for 2013. The group will have an all new lineup, with original Banaroo members not returning for the comeback.

An extensive audition was held in Germany for the new Banaroo band members, and four new members were selected: Doro, Laura, Alvin and Daniel. Photos of the new band members can be found on their new official Web site. We couldn't help but notice that most the members are all unsmiling - how about breaking a smile for once guys, you're a bubblegum group after all!

As well as the official Banaroo Web site relaunch, Banaroo has also launched a new Facebook page to coincide with the comeback. Be sure to check this page regularly for updates.

Banaroo's first single will be a remake of their number one hit "Dubi Dam Dam" and will be released on May 17th. The brand new album will be called "Bubblegum World" (a promising title for fans of bubblegum dance) and will include remakes of old Banaroo songs in a new style, and also brand new titles.

Fans in Germany and Austria will also be pleased to know that Banaroo will be touring the country as part of the popular Super RTL tour. More details on the Banaroo comeback as we hear it!
