Cosmo4 (shortened to "C4") is a Bubblegum dance/pop girl group from Sweden. The group consists of the four members: Yasmine, Ulrika, Jenny, and Rudina. The group has released four singles since 2004, their most recent "What's Your Name?" in 2007.

Carin was a member of the group until late 2006, when she left to concentrate on her studies. She was replaced by Rudina. All of the members of Cosmo4 live in Sweden.

Official Biography

An explosive combination of four multinational faces, C4 is a group of gorgeous talented girls in unity. Cosmo, or cosmopolitan, means “people of the world”. The C4 vision is to unite the World through music, dance and setting a positive example for anyone who has a dream and dares to capture it. Dare to reach for the stars in all their radiant colors; the cosmos are in perfect equilibrium. So take a trip towards the heavens on a celestial journey of harmony. The journey is sure to be blast - C4 is explosive!

Members

As mentioned above, Cosmo4 consists of four girls. Below is information on each of the members.

Yasmine (from China)

This attractive, wild exotic Asian has lived in Holland, Latvia, Bahrain, Sweden and of course China. Yamine solo danced for the Swedish King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia. She has performed as a musical artist in "Miss Saigon" at Gothenburgs Operan and Malmo Operan Musikteater. Yasmine also performed solo at Hollands Dance Festival , and had an acting scene on Hollands TV program "Brothers". Her career was launched when she won first place in the City Free Style competition in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Yasmine loves peace and animals.

Ulrika (from Sweden)

This talented beautiful blondy received the Royal Musical Academy scholarship two times for singing and playing the flute. She performed in the Gundega Ballet Companys summer tours in Sweden and the US. Ulrika has performed in "Les Misérables" and "Andréa Chènier" at Wermlans Operahouse and a concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar, Stockholm. She has been a hair model for Björn Axén and make-up model for Wella. She's educated at RYTMUS SMK, Stockholm, and right now she's studying at The Ballet Academy in Gothenburg. She loves to drink lots and lots of tea and hang out with her friends and family. Ulrika likes to take long walks to relax and energize. Music and dance fills her life.

Jenny (from Kenya)

This glorious African beauty has been performing as a singer/dancer/actor/model in several commercials, films, and TV-shows. Her biggest performance to date was an opening act for Michael Jackson in front of an audience of 80 000. She released an album in Japan that included the hit Fridayman. She spends a lot of her time writing music and has been working as a dance teacher instructing a variety of dance styles. Jenny is a glamorous girl who adores fashion and accessories. She loves to travel to different places around the world and relaxes by lying down in the sun with a nice fruit drink in her hand.

Rudina (from Kosovo)

This gorgeous and ambitious Albanian arrived in Sweden as a child aged eight. Rudina's artistic ambitions have taken her to the Musicaltheatre in Sandviken,and onto a "Gävleborgs Läns Scholarship" to continue her studies at the Performing Arts School in Gothenburg graduating in 2005. She has worked as a freelance actress/singer/dancer performing in productions of "Medea", "Witches of Eastwick" in Gothenburg, and "West Side Story" in Copenhagen. One of Rudina's short stories was awarded the Swedish "Skolverkets Award for Human Rights". She has a special place in her heart for her homeland and relatives, and is crazy about WATERMELON!!!

Swedish Melodifestivalen

In 2007 Cosmo4 participated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen second semifinal with the song What's Your Name to compete for the chance to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in Finland. On 10 February, Cosmo4 was in the top five of Melodifestivalen 2007; in the final round of voting, the group placed fifth and was voted off of the contest.

Their Melodifestivalen entry became a hit and is was played on Swedish commercial radio. The girls said on a newspaper that the will try again for Melodifestivalen 2009.

Album Release

The Cosmo4 debut album, titled "Around The World" was recorded and finished, though never officially released. The album was originally prepared to be released in Russia in 2007, but for some reason the release never happened.

Don'tStopThePop blog published a track-by-track review of the unreleased album in late 2007, giving fans hope that the album may have actually been released with very limited copies.
