Toy-Box comeback cancelled

Sad news for Toy-Box fans today... Aneela Mirza, lead singer of Toy-Box, announced on her Facebook that herself and fellow lead singer, Amir El-Falaki, have decided not to go ahead with the plans to release new music under the Toy-Box name.

According to Aneela, the decision has arisen after a long and tough battle between the Toy-Box singers and their label.

"[We] have been unable to meet on fair terms," says Aneela in her Facebook status. "As the rights to our brand is still owned partly by the other party in question, we have decided not to release more under that banner."

After a tough decision, Aneela is sure it is the right one, and she would like to thank everyone for their never ending love and support.

Here at Bubblegum Dancer we wish Aneela and Amir the best of luck for their future endeavors, and cross our fingers in the hope that they may oneday decide to reunite under a new project name.

Toy-Box confirms 2012 comeback

Since Aqua's reunion four years ago, questions began to rise as to whether Toy-Box would follow suite and reunite too. Would Toy-Box see Aqua's comeback as an opportunity to reunite as well? Although whether or not Aqua's reunion played a role in Toy-Box's decision, we are happy to announce that the rumours are indeed true: Toy-Box have confirmed their comeback for 2012!

That's right, Aneela Mirza has officially revealed that she and Amir will be reuniting in 2012 as the bubblegum duo Toy-Box. In a post on her Official blog, Aneela revealed that they have big plans for Toy-Box next year, and will start by releasing their third studio album!

"The entire Toy-Box team is very excited about this new album, and we are working very hard to deliver the best album imaginable. 2012 will unite us with all you wonderful people once again, as we start our World tour."
