This is a GREAT album, and I have a feeling that if the Family Tree label had released it in America, it would have done very well! So, here is my full opinion on the album, track-by-track...

01. Hop Non Stop
Where do I begin….whenever I listen to Lucky Twice’s songs, I think of the disco, and this is one of those songs. (Maybe because they mention “Happy Days and Disco Inferno on the radio!”?) VERY catchy and VERY happy!

02. Lucky
This song is so inspiring and empowering, I can clearly see why this did well in Europe. I just love the part of the chorus, “You can fool yourself, I promise it will help”! The girl’s voices are incredible in this song!

03. Shake like A Freak
Another disco track, the whole song is so catchy! The bridge is awesome, “When, when the night, when the night comes closer……” Another 10/10 track! The whole feeling behind the song is very strong.

04. Me and You
The album slows down for a ballad, and a good one, at that! It’s so cute, and is one of those songs that is the signature Lucky Twice sound…my favorite part is around the 1:10 mark, where the backing instruments finally kick in! Shocking to think that I used to not like this song, but that has changed. My friend and I have a thing for light sounds in the background of a song, and this has come to be #2 on my all-time personal Favorite Song list!

05. The Lucky Twice Song
I usually look down upon groups who insist using their name in one of their songs, but this is an exception. I think if the group were to do a song like this, it would have been better suited in the beginning of the album, considering this IS a theme song. Don’t think this track is a complete flop; the bridge is nice-“When they say wrong, I say right, they say run and I’m telling you to fight…” I think of a football game whenever I hear this song, which is kind of  strange.

06. Midnight Crying
This was the first song that I heard by Lucky Twice, so sad and catchy at once. It makes me think of an 80s/90s song, it has that familiar feeling behind it.

07. No Friend of Mine
The first track full of attitude! “I get a kick out of hating you, you’re a no-good brother, ain’t no friend of mine!” I’ve heard that this song is about one of the girl’s homophobic brothers, but I’m not %100 sure about that. You’ll find the song running through your head, and like Midnight Crying, sad and catchy at the same time.

08. Push
The third disco track, this and the four following songs are definitely repeat-worthy! The guy in the background can get a little annoying, but the rest of the song is very good!

09. Hey Girl
This is by far one of my favorite tracks on the whole album! Catchy and just a bit suggestive in one part ("So get your motor runnin', pop the hood and let me work it over"). pure awesomeness in music form! I laugh whenever I hear the laugh in the middle, too. The violins in the background complete the whole song!

10. This Song
I’m not a big fan of this song, since it IS a ballad….but I like the bridge, “It’s too late for lame excuses”. But, whenever I hear this, I can’t help thinking of Midnight Crying…specifically the “I’m so sorry ‘bout that pain” and “Gonna have to live with all the pain”

11. Speedy Gonzales
Lucky Twice, you will never fail in the catchiness area of music, will you? I was a fan of the cartoon character at one point, so this is just like a retrospect of my interests. I am in LOVE with the chorus, specifically the harmonizing. You’ll find yourself head-bobbing to this.

12. Big Bad Boys
the album is wrapped up with a song full of attitude-One about girls defying the boys! Another irresistibly catchy song, the chorus is so strong…”Loud, you’re so loud, mister, just shut your mouth, mister, I’ve got stuff to say!” So refreshing to hear this song after the (Awesome) soft songs heard earlier in the album!

BONUS

13. Lucky (Karaoke version)
A nice addition to the existing track, so you can sing along, but because of this, gives the feeling of “Been there, done that”.  But besides that fact, you can belt it out in your car becuase of this addition!

OVERALL SCORE: 10/10

This album is just full of awesome tracks. If you ever see it, grab it! It’s a worthy investment; trust me! ;)
