Se-Side
Se-Side, sometimes formatted as Se:Side, is a German bubblegum dance/pop project aimed at children. The band is best known for their 2006 single "Kamboleo," and an accompanying music video was filmed for the song.
The group is made up of four members: Anna Taflin, Josefine Rosenberg, Johan Larsson and Rick Petrini. Johan is the brother of Sofie Larsson, who headlines the solo bubblegum dance project Sofie, and also the group Lucky Twice.
History
Se-Side was formed at the beginning of 2005 by song writer and producer Thorsten Brötzmann and manager Andreas Mehlhorn in Hamburg, and the group was invited to the studio almost the same day. An intensive cooperation developed and the song "This 1’s 4 U" was released by Sony BMG on “BRAVO HITS 49” as well as on “Fetenkult Strandparty”. Here upon Se-Side toured through Germany and has performed at numerous festivals.
During their stay in Germany also the song "Drums of Africa" developed. Not only their record company Sony BMG thinks that this is a real hit but also Europe’s biggest fun park "Phantasialand" in Brühl near Cologne, Germany chose the song to become the anthem for their new theme park roller coaster ride "Black Mamba." TIGER LILLY
Anna Taflin was early encouraged by both family and stunned audiences in her local town of Östersund in Sweden to pursue her unique, musical talent. It was quite evident that this little girl had something to say, and as soon as the lights went on, her magic swept them away. From then on, Anna has had a busy schedule in Sweden, starting with studies at The Ballet Academy in Gothenburg, followed by numerous appearances in music videos, model engagements and studio singing. In the video ‘Dance With Me’, performed by Mary J Blige, Anna was head-hunted as a feature dancer for this honorary job engagement. In winter 2004, Anna finished her second season with the well-renowned musical Miss Saigon.
SCORPIO
Rick Petrini started his musical career in Seattle in the US where he lived for a period of time during his high school studies. With one of the biggest model and talent agencies handling his PR, Rick got significantly more bookings than expected. Well back in Sweden, Rick soon became a familiar face after his standout appearances in the Swedish hit show ‘Sikta Mot Stjärnorna’ (Becoming) as he imitated Usher. With more dancing features in a number of music videos, Rick started choreographing his own material, and soon others followed. The biggest media school in Scandinavia, Kulturama, is where Rick got his vocal training and studied there for a year. Short after, the school hired him as the main choreographer for their singers.
BUTTERFLY
Josefine Rosenberg has been engaged in singing bookings, dancing and even acting has been part of her ever-developing career. This multi-talent went straight from the Musical Conservatory on to touring with the Swedish pop star Cezar as a background singer, as well as being spotted by the Swedish televised Fame Academy by her outstanding performance backing up Cezar. After some time abroad in Spain, where she worked as a Resort Entertainer, her wings brought her to London, where she during the fall of 2004 worked for a local model and talent agency. Josefine has worked with some of the biggest producers in Sweden.
LEON
Johan Larsson is from Malmö in the southern part of Sweden, where he started his career in music already as a child. His vocal gift was discovered from an early point, and Johan has through the years collected invaluable stage routine in singing and dancing from his many appearances in both musicals and TV performances. In the Swedish hit show ‘Sikta Mot Stjärnorna’ (Becoming), he performed impressively as the Swedish singer Magnus Carlsson in national live TV. Due to Johan’s stunning looks and features, model agencies in Sweden, England and the US have since long booked Johan for numerous model engagements.
Album release
Throughout 2007, Se-Side began working on their debut album titled "This 1's 4 You." According to sources, the album was released in 4 countries, one of them being Russia, however the release has become extremely rare and many people were unsure of it's existence, including one of the producers!
In 2016, the album surfaced on eBay and was purchased by Irk Splee, a regular contributor and member of Bubblegum Dancer forum. The rare print was released in Russia on the label "Танцевальный Рай" (Dance Paradise) and features 11 tracks.
