Fairytale from Sweden are best known for their 2002 song "Tills Natt Blir Dag". In 2002 the band, then consisting of members Elisabet Karlsson, Mathilda Lundqvist, and Sofie Andrén, recorded the song "Tills Natt Blir Dag". They entered the song into the music competition MGP Nordic, a precursor to Junior Eurovision Song Contest which was open to child acts from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. The band placed second in the competition, losing to the song "Kickflipper" by Danish artist Razz.

After MGP Nordic, they obtained a new member named Emelie Rosén and recorded the album "Fairytale."

After the band

Fairytale split up after recording their album, but some of the members found success elsewhere. Emelie later moved on to join the pop group Caracola. Mathilda now records under the name "Matilda Thompson" and released a self-titled album in 2008. Sofie became an actress, and appeared in the Swedish film "Säg att du älskar mig."
