Skau Del Sol
Skau Del Sol from Germany consists of five members, known as Chrissy, Stacy, Sandy, Ray, and Skau. They are best known for their single "My Radio."
Biography
The members originate from different countries, each coming from Spain, Cuba, Mozambique, or Germany. They all met in Ibiza, and in 1999, joined together in Central Germany to start a band. Their first releases in 1999 were on a compilation called "Mallorca Tequila Partyhits", which was halfway made up of Skau Del Sol tracks, alongside contributions from other artists, similar to Dutch group My5. The album release was accompanied by a single release of their song "Mallorca Tequila".
In 2000, they released two more singles, "My Radio" and "Shooby Doo (The Waterpolo Song)". 2000 also saw a compilation simply called "Party Hits" that mostly consists of the same Skau Del Sol tracks as "Mallorca Tequila Partyhits", but introduced "My Radio" to the line-up, as well as a new track titled "Back To Ibiza".
Skau Del Sol enjoyed a moderate level of success. "Shooby Doo (The Waterpolo Song)" reached #7 on Spanish charts, and they performed in concert with various notable artists, such as The Weather Girls, Haddaway, ATC, and many others over the course of over 350 events.
Unreleased songs
Despite their moderate success, Skau Del Sol stopped releasing songs after their second compilation. However, their website lists various other songs. Skau Del Sol planned to release an EP titled "What A Summer" with the following tracklist:
- Happy Birthday Radio
- What A Summer
- Margharita
- Tell Me
- Happy Birthday Radio (B.oa Myller Tune It In Remix)
In addition, there is a single listed for a song called "Basketball Forever", plus entries for the following songs that appear nowhere else:
- Baby You're The Reason
- Bal Privé
- Guantanamera
- Informer
- La Bonairo
- Party All Night
Absolutely no other information for the EP, single, or extra songs can be found, suggesting that nothing listed here was ever released. However, each of these tracks has a minute long sample available. Their site is now mostly down, as clicking most links results in the same slideshow of pictures and no further information, but the samples are still available on the Wayback Machine.
