Sylicons
Sylicons are a Bubblegum dance group from Italy, made up of members Lou P. (producer), Barby G. (lead female vocalist), Fred (lead male vocalist), and Little Carl (producer).
In 2007 the Sylicons released their debut single "Turn On The Radio". In July 2009 they released their first album "Plastic Pop", an 11 track collection of super cheesy bubblegum dance numbers.
Sylicons can be described as a mix of Traditional Bubblegum and Electro House, with extra cheesy vocals that can be compared to groups such as The Fireman. Sylicons can also be compared to Norwegian group Loco Loco, as they both share a comical, cartoony style.
Band Information
The Sylicons consist of 4 members: Lou P., Barby G. (who is the lead female vocalist in the group), Fred and Little Carl. According to the group on their official Myspace page, the lead members are made of plastic (listen closely to the lyrics of "Fred Song (Sex Doll)", in particular Fred (who is a large inflatable doll) and Barby G.
This probably doesn't make sense, but the Sylicons pride themselves for that fact. As the comical introduction of their album suggests ("Dear Listeners"), Plastic Pop was designed to be entertaining, with amusing lyrics and even funnier voice acting. Each song is riddled with giggles by Barby G, giving the impression that the Sylicons are a tongue in cheek project created to have fun rather than to make money.
