Las Chicas International
Las Chicas International is a bubblegum girl trio based in Germany, best known for their 2005 hit single "Ilarie." Illarie was promoted as the tropical summer hit and can be compared to songs such as Macarena and The Ketchup Song, with its sexy beach-themed music video and simple dance moves.
The group consists of members Vanessa Harris (English with Jamaican roots), Alicia Sánchez (Halbspanierin), and Jana Wall (who comes from Russia). The production team behind Las Chicas International is Syndicate Music, who already has plenty of experience with summer hits like Lou Bega's "Mambo No. 5" and "Like Ice In The Sunshine" by No Angels.
Las Chicas International released one single for "Illarie." The CD maxi also features four additional songs, probably intended for a future album release which sadly never happened. The most bubblegum of all the songs is the English tune "Sing Along."
