Daze releases studio version of ''We Own The Universe''

Daze posted on Bubblegum Dancer's official Facebook today a link to the studio recording of their new song "We Own The Universe."

The song will be Daze's entry into the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2013, which will determine the winning song to represent Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Listen to the song below:

Daze makes it into the Danish Melodi Grand Prix!

It was revealed today that Daze has made it into the Danish Melodi Grand Prix.

For those who are unsure, the Danish Melodi Grand Prix is a competition in Denmark which determines the countries representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.

According to this article from TV2 in Denmark, Daze will be performing the song "We Own The Universe" which was written by two of the people who wrote last year's winning song, "Euphoria."

At a press conference Wednesday, the participants to this year's Danish Melodi Grand Prix [was revealed]. Daze with Trine Holck Grundahl in front, will debut in the competition, and it was almost by chance that the group ended up in Denmark's oldest entertainment program.

"Suddenly we got the chance to sing "We Own the Universe", which is written by the two who wrote last year's winning song "Euphoria". It was a great honor that I simply could not say no to, and an opportunity that they never get again," says Trine Holck Grundahl to TV 2.

Lead singer of Daze derived from Aarhus [and] was [known for] a short time [for her] distinctive blue hair in the late 90s. Even compares Trine Holck Grundahl themselves with circus horses, and after several years' absence has gone [they are] back into the circus ring.

Rumour: Daze may be in upcoming Eurovision Song Contest

According to this article published by Danish Website "DR," Daze may be one of the chosen few selected to represent Denmark in this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

While it's just a rumour at this stage, DK has named Daze as one of their top 5 picks to represent Denmark. Their article is translated as below:

The Danish eurodance group Daze was a huge success in the end nineties and had hits like 'Superhero' and 'Tamagotchi'. Debut album 'Superheroes' from 1997 sold over 250,000 copies and a year later received the award as "Danish Dance Release" by DMA.

The group consists of singer Trine Bix and the producers Jesper Tønnov Rasmussen and Lucas Sieber, and in 2012 they began to stir again with the single 'Fool Me'. And now they therefore may be ready for Eurovision Song Contest. A loose rumor namely, that they participate as soloists on a song in years.

Wouldn't it be fantastic to see Daze in the Eurovision Song Contest? Bubblegum Dancer wishes them the best of luck and hope they win an opportunity to compete!

Daze releases new single ''Fool Me''!

It has been announced that DAZE has released their brand new single "Fool Me" today!

Bubblegum Dancer received a special "heads up" email this evening from Karsten Dahlgaard, a famous Bubblegum dance producer, who informed us that the single has just been released on iTunes Denmark and numerous other sites.

"Just wanna bring your attention to the fact that the Danish bubblegum group Daze is back after a 15 years absence - the song is called "Fool Me" and produced by the band themselves…"

Although Bubblegum Dancer hasn't listened to the song in full yet (I am based in New Zealand so often have to wait before new releases are sent this far down under), the song sounds fantastic, and it is incredibly refreshing to hear Trine's voice again - she sounds equally amazing as she did 15 years ago!

DAZE - new single!

DAZE announced yesterday in a message on their Official Facebook page that their new single will be titled "Fool Me."

The song was unveiled by Daze yesterday, and a link to Spotify was posted alongside the annoucement giving fans the opportunity to listen to the new song.

Fans were quick to the scene but soon discovered that the Spotify link did not work. A few hours later, the annoucement was removed from Daze's Web site, suggesting that there may have been difficulties with the Spotify Web site, and the single will be re-announced shortly.
