A-Moe
A-Moe (sometimes written 'A.Moe', 'A Moe' or Amoe') is a Norwegian Bubblegum eurodance group consisting of members Alex Moe and vocalist Tina. A-Moe are most well-known for their unique style, which incorporates elements of death metal (mostly due to the growling male vocal style) and bubblegum dance. Hence they have been dubbed by fans as "Bubblegum Metal". A-Moe are perhaps best known for their song "Little Red Riding Hood" which was included on the 2005 album "Beauty and the Beast."
A-Moe's two members, Natalie Davadi and 'Wolf' (Alex Moe), are pictured right. In all publicity shots for A-Moe the male singer appears as the evil-looking "Beast" with a white face, red eyes, and a more than generous amount of black makeup. Alex Moe is the main song writer and producer behind the A-Moe project, and wrote the majority of the songs on "Beauty and the Beast."
A-Moe was signed to Nordic Records in Scandinavia, and their album was released under exclusive license from Lightning Studios. All songs were published by House of Scandinavia.
In 2006, A-Moe collaborated with Dr. Alban, releasing a cover of his song "No Coke". Despite plans for a new album in 2007, A-Moe never released any new music, suggesting that they have disbanded.
Unique Style
The term "Bubblegum Metal" is used by fans to describe A-Moe's style. The production contains elements of typical bubblegum dance, but the harsh 'grating' vocals of the "Wolf" have reminded many fans of the harsh vocals of Death Metal music.
Beauty and the Beast
The aptly titled debut album of A-Moe was released in May 2005. The album features 11 songs, including a cover of the famous Judy Garland song "Over The Rainbow" from the Wizard Of Oz, and 5 Extended Remixes. A-Moe is published by House Of Scandinavia. The album was recorded at Lightning Studios and is copyright Nordic Records.
A-Moe's most well-known hit "Mom Is Home" is a cover of a lead song by the same name from the Russian musical Rock'n Roll Wolf (1976). In the musical, the mother of the little pigs sings a song to her children (Mom Is Home) so they know to open the door when she sings it. The wolf listens in to her teaching the children and begins to practise the tune, eventually singing it to the children and gaining access to the home. A-Moe reworked the classic tune with thumping dance beats, growling wolf vocals, and added verses.

Throughout the kingdom young people danced happily to this catchy song and they bought so many singles that A-Moe were awarded both Gold and Platinum Trophies for the enormous sales. You may believe that A-Moe were satisfied with this and just wanted to sit back and live happily ever after. Then you're wrong. This was only the beginning ...
Here comes the next chapter. This time A-Moe have been inspired by the amazing Grimm tale "Little Red Riding Hood" and wrote this new song. "Come here, don't be scared. I'm lying in my bed with my big ears and big mouth..." again they entered the official sales charts. Just before Christmas 2004 A-Moe traveled to the highland of Scotland and was so inspired that the "wolf" wrote a new hit single called "Bagpipe." In February 05 the debut album "The Beauty And The beast" was released. So watch out for the beautiful and sensual Natalie Davadi and the dark & mysterious Wolf.
