Zynergy, previously known as Synergy, is a bubblegum project from Denmark best known for "This 'N' That."

The group is made up of 6 members; 4 girls and 2 boys: Frederikke, Gudny, Mia, Ann, Jesper and Kim. They are best known for their song "This 'n' That, which was also covered by Party's'Cool. Zynergy released one album called "This 'n' That" in 2003, as well as singles for "This 'n' That" and "Cocktail."

Zynergy’s manager, John Aagaard, was also the manager of internationally famous bubblegum dance acts such as Aqua, Me & My and Cartoons. Zynergy was produced by Ahmad Darwich, a well-known bubblegum producer who has worked with Smile.dk/project/">SMiLE.dk and Creamy/project/">Creamy.

After the flop of Zynergy's change-in-style promo single "I Feel Happy" in 2004, the group disbanded. No new releases have been made since by the group, and members have gone on to pursue solo careers.

Birth as Synergy

The group was originally formed under the name "Synergy" and a full length album was even released under the name. Management decided to rename the group "Zynergy" and re-release the album, with an updated tracklist and album art (see discography). Reason for the renaming is unknown.

Brief History

The members of Zynergy had been studying at the famous Danish show academy ''LEGOLAND'', a professional show school situated in Billund, Denmark, when they met each other. They learned about drama, dance, song, stunt, and body language, and began to train together in their spare time as an inspiring band. They went to several auditions and were finally chosen by a record company to form a new pop/dance project called Zynergy.

Zynergy Released just one album ''This 'N' That'' which made it to the charts as of week 10/2003. The album spend a total of 2 weeks on the charts. The album hit the charts for the first time on week 18/2003, and for the last time on week 33/2003 and peaked at position 19.

Music Video

Zynergy released the music video for "This 'n' That" to go with the album release in 2003. The music video is unique in that it is very special for all of the members of Zynergy. It tells the story of how the group member's dreams came true when they got a record contract to create This 'n' That. It begins with the members singing with a hairbrush in front of the mirror, and ends with a live stage performance of This 'n' That. The music video was very well received when it was released.

I Feel Happy

In 2004, Zynergy released a new promo single titled "I Feel Happy." I Feel Happy was an attempt to move away from bubblegum dance into the pop/rock genre, though the single flopped and as a result has become very rare. While the vocals stayed true to Zynergy's campy style, "I Feel Happy" was a complete change in style from their past material with new producer and songwriter Michael B Holmberg taking the reigns. Unfortunately "I Feel Happy" was not a very memorable track and failed to catch on like management had hoped. As a result, no new singles were released by Zynergy, and the project was disbanded shortly after.

Spinoff: Zynergy Girls

A spin-off group called "Zynergy Girls" was planned under TG Management, and an album release was even in the last stages of production before the project was cancelled. Reasons for the pulling of this project are unknown, but it was probably due to label issues and bad timing in the music scene.

Many of the original Zynergy songs were re-worked for the spin-off girl-group, and there were also some new songs. However, none of the songs for Zynergy Girls saw the light of day. The art work for the debut album was created by Kevin Gibson, however information and graphics from his Website have since been removed.
